Guided Tours - Available by Seasonally or by Request

Picture
We are happy to meet with your group for a guided tour through the gardens.  The tour can last anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour and can cover the edible and medicinal uses of the plants that are growing as well as details on permaculture, seed saving and folk herbalism.  We will have the opportunity to taste anything that is ready for munching!

Adopt a Seed Crop

Picture
A new program designed for schools or community groups!  Crops can be adopted for a full or partial season.  Spring is a time for planting seeds, Summer for maintaining plants and Fall for the harvest.  Crops can be adopted by experienced gardeners as well as beginners as we will offer guidance as to how best to care for the crop.  Most of the seed harvest will be given to the Basalt Seed Library, but a substantial amount may be kept for the adopting school or organization for their own gardens.
